WHAT IS A PEEL?

 

A glycolic peel targets specific skin conditions such as blemishes, pigmentation, age spots and sun damage. Glycolic is a unique resurfacing treatment that utilises pomegranate enzyme for a softer, smoother and brighter approach to skin.

 

We offer two types of peels, we offer the standard BeautyLab glycolic peel which has the tingling effect with it along with grades of percentage for strength. We also offer CLINICARE painless peels which are great to resurface, reveal a brighter complexion without the harshness of an active peel. Suitable for those wanting a peel who want relaxation combined along with being suitable for sensitive skin.

WHO CAN HAVE THE TREATMENT?

 

With glycolic there are varied amounts of percentage of actives we can use on your skin, 10% ranging to 30%. This will be discussed on your initial consultation after a skin analysis has been completed so we can look at your skin under a specific light to see what your skin condition is like not just how it looks to the naked eye.

 

WHAT IMPROVEMENTS CAN BE SEEN?

 

A reduction in pigmentation, blemishes will initially dry out and start to reduce once the bacteria has been killed and the skin has been resurfaced creating a brighter appearance.

 

HOW MANY TREATMENTS UNTIL A DIFFERENCE CAN BE NOTICED?

 

Brighter skin can be seen after one session, for certain conditions a course is recommended where you will have a weekly session for six weeks. In this time we will build up your % strength and your plan will be bespoke to your skin and your needs. During a course it is recommended to have the LED along with the glycolic peel to boost the skin, help reduce bacteria and with the NIR help revitalise new cells coming to the surface. Giving you that brighter skin and glowing skin you’ve always wanted.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

 

This facial works by the active ingredients breaking down the surface level of skin, it’s considered as a deeper reveal smoother brighter skin, please bare in mind this treatment is suitable for everyone apart from during pregnancy, also this treatment shouldn’t be used in conjunction with other treatments such as derma-planing as combined could cause over exposure to exfoliation and active ingredients and could harm the skin barrier.
