What is Dermalux?

Dermalux is a LED Light is used to give visibly radiant, rejuvenated skin. This treatment can treat a wide range of skin concerns and treatments. With using LED light to rejuvenate the skin without the use of invasive treatment, this non-invasive treatment means no downtime is needed.

 

Can anyone have Dermalux?

Dermalux is suitable for all skin types, yes really all skin types. however, there is a few conditions that may prevent you from having treatment. These include clients suffering from any of the listed conditions, 

Epilepsy, Cancer in partial remission, eye disease, pregnancy, St john wart, specific skincare products,. 

Does the LED Light hurt?

No absolutely not, the dermalux is a dome shaped device that goes over your area that is being treated. It does not touch the face; you will be given goggles to wear during the treatment to help protect your eyes from the lights.

 

How does dermalux work?

Dermalux works by emitting lights to the required level of skin, depending on the condition we are treating. We have three programmes with 7 protocols in total, each with a different benefit. Blue light helps blemishes and targets the bacteria in the skin that causes the spots and blemishes, red light helps boost collagen and elasticity within the second layer of the skin known as the dermis. NIR light can also be great for swelling and healing process.

 

What can dermalux treat?

 

Dermalux can treat a wide range of skin concerns and problems including these below:

Psoriasis, Rosacea, Enlarged pores, Spot prone skin, Dry skin, Pigmentation, Fine lines & Wrinkles, Loss of elasticity, Uneven skin tone, Dull dehydrated skin, Muscle & joint pain, Sensitivity, Facial redness, visible blood vessels.

 

How many sessions would I need?

 

We recommend for most conditions a course of 12 is needed to enhance the benefits and the results of the treatment, combined with homecare you can really accelerate your results.

 

Can I have it with a facial treatment?

Of course, you can, in fact this is beneficial to boost your skin with a facial alongside as your skin is being prepped and exfoliated along with being treated. Our standalone courses are designed to be taken twice a week for 30-minute sessions. Within a facial you would have an upgraded treatment for 20 minutes of the dermalux after the exfoliation before the facial massage.

 

Do I need to do anything before or after a session?

Before a session we advise you to come to the salon with minimal make up or no makeup ideally, before your session we will carry out a superficial cleanse which will remove any product left on your skin to help the LED Light to penetrate the skin to the level it needs. After an session we will apply a SPF50 to hydrate your skin after the light has penetrated the skin, You will be advised on your skincare at home between sessions to help accelerate your results. You will also be advised to drink plenty of water.

 

Will you be able to tell me what program I need?

 

Yes, we will have a consultation where we can discuss what you are wanting to achieve from your sessions, this enables me to be able to advise you what we need to do to be able to help you achieve those results. We will also look at your skin and recommend treatment protocols along with products you can use at home.
